hy·po·don·tia (hi″po-donґshə) [hypo- + odont- + -ia] partial absence of the teeth, a relatively common congenital condition characterized by absence of a tooth or teeth because of absence of the anlage; it is seldom associated with other anomalies. Called also partial anodontia.
