ox·a·cil·lin so·di·um (oks″ə-silґin) [USP] a semisynthetic penicillinase-resistant isoxazolyl penicillin, used primarily in the treatment of infections due to penicillin-resistant staphylococci; administered orally, intramuscularly, or intravenously.
