Decalcification of the teeth from exposure to gastric acid in individuals with chronic vomiting. [=perimylolysis, fr. peri- + G. mylos, molar + lysis, loosening, dissolving, fr. luo, to loosen]

peri·mol·y·sis (per″ĭ-molґĭ-sis) [shortened from perimylolysis, q.v.] erosion of the lingual surfaces of the anterior teeth and the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth by acid decalcification; commonly seen in anorexia nervosa and also in other conditions involving chronic regurgitation.
