thio·tepa (thi″o-tepґə) [USP] an alkylating agent used as an antineoplastic in the treatment of adenocarcinoma of the breast or ovary, papillary carcinoma of the bladder, pericardial or pleural effusions secondary to malignancy, and Hodgkin disease; used by intracavitary, intratumor, intravesical, or intravenous administration. Called also triethylenethiophosphoramide.
