cy·ca·sin (siґkə-sin) a toxic principle from the seeds of Cycas revoluta and C. circinalis. In humans it causes neoplastic lesions in the liver, kidneys, intestine, and lungs after hydrolysis by intestinal bacteria and yields the breakdown product methylazoxymethanol; in cattle it causes fatal gastrointestinal and liver damage.
