Meh·lis' gland 'mā-lis- n one of the large unicellular glands surrounding the ootype of a flatworm and possibly playing a part in eggshell formation also the group of such glands in a worm
Mehlis Karl Friedrich Eduard (1796-1832)
German physician. Mehlis was a practicing mine physician. His lasting contributions were in helminthology.
