Pseu·do·lynch·ia (soo″do-linchґe-ə) a genus of parasitic flies of the family Hippoboscidae. P. canarienґsis (called also P. mariґrah), parasitizes pigeons and spreads to them a type of malaria, and is also a vector of the protozoon Haemoproteus columbae.
