ten·i·po·side (VM-26) (ten-ĭ-poґsīd) a semisynthetic derivative of podophyllotoxin, closely related to etoposide, that causes DNA strand breakage and crosslinking, resulting in inhibition of mitosis in the late S and G2 phases of the cell cycle; used as an antineoplastic in the treatment of neuroblastoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia, administered intravenously.
