Brodie's abscess

Brodie's abscess
a chronic abscess of bone that develops from acute bacterial osteomyelitis. The classic appearance on X-ray is a small walled-off cavity in the bone with little or no periosteal reaction. Treatment is by surgical drainage and antibiotics.
