α-actinin

α-actinin
α-ac·tin·in (akґtə-nin) a 100-kD protein occurring as a dimer and found in muscle, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells; it binds actin filaments to one another and to cell membranes and in the Z band holds the actin fibers in a lattice array. See also vinculin.
