gestational age

gestational age
the age of a conceptus or pregnancy. In human clinical practice, pregnancy is timed from onset of the last normal menstrual period (menstrual age), which is about two weeks longer than the fertilization age. Elsewhere the onset may be timed from estrus, coitus, artificial insemination, vaginal plug formation, fertilization, or implantation.
