mi·cro·ad·e·no·ma (mi″kro-ad″ə-noґmə) 1. any adenoma too small to be easily visualized by usual radiographic techniques. 2. specifically, a pituitary adenoma less than 10 mm in diameter and not visible by usual radiographic techniques; most endocrine-active adenomas are this size and are detected because of their hormone activities.
